Mom: "Be carfeful not to color on the table, I noticed you colored on it earlier."
Ade: "You have good eye sight."

Kids Faire...

Ade: "Some kids have to cook for their families, but they don't know how so I'm thinking of a restaurant that only has candy."

Party...

Ade: "Dad do you have any party flavors?"

Dad: "Do you mean party favors?"

Ade: "No, that's uncorrect."

Phone Etiquette

We've been working on phone etiquette with Ade. Tonight, he was talking to his Opa (Michelle's Dad) when he decided it was time for the conversation to end:

"Well, I'm tired of talking to you now, so goodbye!"

Who hasn't wanted to say that once or twice?

Imaginings

If you know Ade you know that sometimes (okay, more often than sometimes) he replaces the leading consonant in a word with the letter 'B'. I could write a whole dictionary of words by Ade, all that started with the letter 'B'. Here's an example from today:

Ade: "I didn't bimagine it, and it wasn't a bream. It was really real."

Humidifier

Mom - setting something up in Ade's bedroom...

Ade: "What are you doing?"

Mom: "Setting up the humidifier."

Ade: "Oh, I thought it was a fish tank."

Decorations

After placing popcorn strategically on the blinds: "I decorated it for you Nana...Cool huh?" (see pic)

Anatomy

It's been a while now (this occured in the first half of 2009), but one day Ade discovered the anatomical disparity that separates him from his mommy. Mom and Ade talked about the differences, using anatomically correct language. Later that day, when Daddy came home from work, the following unfolded...

Mom: "Ade, tell Daddy what you learned today. What do you have, that Mommy doesn't have?"

Ade: "A brain?"

New Format

Well, if you're a follower of this blog (all 2 of you), you'll know I haven't posted an update in a long while. It's not because there hasn't been anything to say, but because...well I've got no good excuse.

Anyway, the new format of Adamernest.blogspot.com will be to highlihgt 1 quote per day of from Ade. Either a conversation he had, or statement he made that was funny, poignant, or otherwise noteworthy. As we go along this journey together, I'll post pictures to accompany the quips.

If you're a Facebook friend of Ade's Daddy, some of the quotes will probably be recycled from Facebook updates, but I will attempt to keep the quotes fresh whenever possible.
